What personal information do we collect and is it sensitive?

Users may be asked for, as appropriate, their name and email address. Users may, however, visit our Site anonymously. We will collect personal identification information from Users only if they voluntarily submit such information to us. In unique contexts, email addresses can be considered sensitive information so our user’s information is protected.

Users can always refuse to supply personal identification information knowing that it may prevent them from engaging in certain Site related activities.

Why do we collect it and What do we use it for?

The Site may collect and use Users personal information for the following purposes:

– To improve our Site we may use the feedback and comments you provide to improve our products and services.

If you post a comment, both the comment and any associated information are kept forever in the metadata. This allows us to detect and approve any subsequent comments without having to manually moderate them. Administrators of the website can also access and remove that data.

Where do we keep it and Who do we share it with?

Users’ personal information is stored on the Website and third-party email auto-responders, such as Aweber, in order to send emails.

We do not sell, trade, or rent Users’ personal identification information to others. We may share generic aggregated demographic information not linked to any personal identification information regarding visitors and users with our business partners, trusted affiliates, and advertisers for the purposes outlined in the section “Why do we collect it and What do we use it for?”.

We may use third-party service providers to help us operate our business and the Site or administer activities on our behalf, such as sending out newsletters, surveys, and promotional offers.

We share your information with these third parties for those limited purposes provided that you have given us your permission.

How is it secured and how is it safeguarded?

User’s personal information is secured on third-party email autoresponders. The personal information is password protected and transferred over secure SSL communication channels.

We adopt appropriate data collection, storage, and processing practices and security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of your personal information, username, password, transaction information, and data stored on our Site.

Sensitive and private data exchange between the Site and its Users happens over an SSL-secured communication channel and is encrypted and protected with digital signatures.

Who has access to or uses it?

Only appointed staff has access to personal information. Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. Third-Parties such as Google Analytics, Plugins, and Social Media sites have access to information that users submit to ProstaKnight.

When is it disposed of?

User’s personal information is disposed of when a request to delete any personal information is sent to our contact mediums, such as a contact us form, email, or phone number from the user. Users are encouraged to contact us in multiple ways to ensure a faster response.

Principle 2 – Identifying Purposes

Personal information that is collected may be reviewed by the business before and during the time of collection. To read the business’s purpose for collecting personal information please read the section under principle 1, “Why do we collect it and What do we use it for?”.

Principle 3 – Consent

The knowledge and consent of the individual are required for the collection, use, or disclosure of personal information, except where inappropriate.

Personal information that may be collected is a name and email address which may be required to continue the process of the user’s journey using the Site. The User consents to give personal information by clicking on any button that submits and sends personal information to the Site.

Users are encouraged to read this privacy policy before submitting/sending any personal information on this Site to clarify which parties are receiving the data. Personal information is shared with third-party autoresponders, such as Aweber.

Users’ personal information may be collected for receiving products and/or services and/or gaining access to information and/or gaining access to the rest of the Site.

There should be no Risks of harm or Consequences for users providing personal information on this Site, there will only be consensual promotional emails.

Principle 4 – Limiting Collection

Users’ personal information that may be collected is only the necessary information to continue business such as their name and email address.

Principle 5 – Limiting Use, Disclosure, and Retention

User’s personal information is kept indefinitely in order to keep on providing email support and promotions. A User can request for their information to be disposed of by contacting us on our contact us page.

Users may contact us to have their personal information updated.

Principle 8 – Openness

The Site has all of its practices described on our privacy policy page which can always be accessed at either the footer or header of every page. Only the Appointed staff has access to personal information for the purposes described in previous sections in principle 1.

Principle 9 – Individual Access

Upon request, Users can be informed of the existence, use, and disclosure of their personal information and be given access to that information by contacting us on our contact us page. A User is able to amend any personal information to the most appropriate information by contacting us.

Principle 10 – Challenging Compliance

An individual shall be able to challenge an organization’s compliance with the above principles. Their challenge should be addressed to the person accountable for the organization’s compliance with PIPEDA, usually their Chief Privacy Officer.

Additional Policies

Non-personal identification information

We may collect non-personal identification information about Users whenever they interact with our Site. Non-personal identification information may include the browser name, the type of computer, and technical information about Users’ means of connection to our Site, such as the operating system and the Internet service providers utilized and other similar information.

In order to enhance and market our services, we connect with Microsoft Clarity and Microsoft Advertising to collect information on how visitors use and interact with our website using behavioural analytics, heatmaps, and session replay. To gauge the popularity of our services as well as online activity, first-party and third-party cookies as well as other tracking technologies are used to collect data about website traffic. ProstaKnight utilizes caching in order to facilitate a faster response time and better user experience. Caching potentially stores a duplicate copy of every web page that is on display on this site. All cache files are temporary and are never accessed by any third party, except as necessary to obtain technical support from the cache plugin vendor. Cache files expire on a schedule set by the site administrator, but may easily be purged by the admin before their natural expiration, if necessary. Anti-Spam Services

We collect information about visitors who comment on Sites that use our Akismet anti-spam service. The information we collect depends on how the User sets up Akismet for the Site, but typically includes the commenter’s IP address, user agent, referrer, and Site URL (along with other information directly provided by the commenter such as their name, username, email address, and the comment itself).
